Hi there! 👋
Great to have you here. I'm Rafael – although most people simply call me Raffi. I'm an IT professional by passion, a dad, and the person behind thesmartcode.de.

I've been working in the IT world for more than two decades. What started as a fascination with computers during my school years in Menden (Sauerland) has become my calling. What drives me most is solving real-world problems and making everyday life easier through smart software. Whenever I see a challenge, I can't wait to start coding until I've built a smart and convenient solution.

How does real-time synchronization work on split.thesmartcode.de without a login?

Each group is accessible through its own link. Share it with participants to manage expenses together. Group data is stored and synchronised on a server. Only share the link with people who should have access.

How does the masterkey password generator work?

Key uses your masterkey and the service name to calculate a password. The same inputs produce the same password. The masterkey is also processed on the server and is reversibly encoded in the result URL. Result links and QR codes are therefore confidential and should not be shared.

Are the web apps free?

Split and Key are currently free to use. They grew out of personal needs and the enjoyment of building practical web apps.

How are my visits to thesmartcode.de analyzed?

This project overview does not embed analytics scripts. Hosting provider IONOS processes technical visitor data when you access the site. See the privacy notice for details. Split and Key have their own privacy information.
